KFC and the Colonel

Kentucky is proud of the Colonel and nearly everywhere you go you are reminded that this fine state is the birthplace of KFC and the resting place of the father of fried chicken, Colonel Harland Sanders. A life size model of the great restaurateur is in a visitors center in downtown Louisville. The birthplace restaurant where the blend of special herbs and spices was first sold is in Corbin, KY. The Colonel's grave is easy to find by following the yellow line from the entrance of Cave Hill cemetery in Louisville. The wax Colonel was in an antique shop.
